Website Great place for Selling equipment!!!

I wanted to remind everyone that in today's world, online presence is a huge multiplier for the club and for all our members. The more we use our social media presence and website, the more individuals find us and learn about the club and offerings.

Because of this, i thought I would remind folks about our great For-Sale section of our website. Here are a couple of key items to be aware of when posting on our website in you are looking for a part/piece of equipment, or selling the same!

1.) If you post on our website, it becomes visible to search tools like google and others, which means that anything you post for sale has a national presence, not just members!

2.) If you post something for sale, please put a way to contact you in case of interest. I have had several folks post items for sale with no contact info. That means that someone has to reach out to the board, someone needs to track down who posted the for sale item and then connect the two parties. Please put an email address or phone number so that potential buyers can contact you.

3.) The more you post on our website, the more people see the activity and get involved, so please use our website to buy/sell items.

4.) You can reference the link to the Sale add on our social media platforms also. What does this mean? If you post an add, look it up on the for sale section of our website, copy the link iink in your browser bar and then go to facebook or instagram under the club area, arizonaoldiron.com, and put a comment about what you are selling and the link to the website for details.

5.) Be clear with the description, part number, description, tractor definition, etc so that when someone is searching for a specific item it shows up quickly. I.E. I am looking for a John Deere rear wheel, part number ?????.

By practicing a little bit, you can help the club drive interest, you can sell items, and not just to club members, but anyone searching for what you have! It helps the club, it helps you! Posting the sale to social media is a bonus:)

Give it a try! Lets drive activity in the For Sale and Wanted sections of our website.

We will also soon have locations for collecting Vendors that cater to our hobby so we can become a one stop shop for searching for all things that support our hobby. Everyone can help with this and make us relevant across the US.

Our Club is now on Social Media

Hello Club Members-

I wanted to reach out to you and let you know what the Communications Team and Board are up to on social media.

We are now on Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube! And we need everyone’s help to keep spreading the news about our club!

The intent of being on social media is to reach all generations especially the younger generations to keep this club growing and educate younger members on different topics like Farming, restoring tractors, restoring stationary engines and restoring implements.

Social media is a way for our club to show off all the great things we do to a large audience, and encourage individuals who may not know we exist, to come, help out, volunteer at shows, the farm, etc.

How can you help as a club member? Log on and subscribe to our social media sites at Facebook, Instagram, and our YouTube channel. If you have some pictures or videos that you would like to share on our social media sites, please do so directly on Facebook and Instagram. If you want to post on YouTube, you can send it directly to Mike McIver to get edited and posted. Mikes email address isCommunicationsdirector@aedgeta.org.

We are looking for content, and views online. Even though we have just started, we already are starting to get a large number of non-club members who have an interest in what our club does. Let’s feed this interest with content, likes, even discussions on social media with non-club members. On YouTube we have posted quite a few videos already that have gotten some great attention. Our goal is to get our name and fantastic activities out to the younger generation and generate involvement with the club.

Our Social Medial accounts are:

Losing our Lease

The Knox Family is losing the lease on our shop ground in SW Gilbert. As such, we will be selling, giving away or trashing nearly 100 years of "great stuff" over the next couple of months. I have listed several things in the For Sale forum already, but more will come. Everything from "yard art" to tools will go. We are keeping our JD A, JD BN, big gooseneck trailer, and JD 5205, but nearly everything else will be available. I will post notices here when we will be having our "open house(s)", but notice may be short. Please note: we have no restroom facilities at our shop, but there is a Circle K 1/2 mile from us.

Our shop is located at 7305 S. 156th St., Gilbert. This is 1/2 mile E of Val Vista and S of Riggs. If your nav tells you differently, it's wrong.

I can be reached at laknox88@gmail.com and Alex can be reached at baronknox@live.com.

Hay Sales - New Process

In an effort to streamline the hay buying process,

We will do this on a first come, first served basis.

Anyone that wants to purchase alfalfa must send an email to haysales@aedgeta.org

Price is $13.50 per bale.

When we receive your email, we will reply back to you that we received your order.

All orders will be filled to the best of our ability. In the event that we have more orders than bales, we will start by limiting each person to 30 bales. Those orders that we were unable to fill will be placed first on the list for the next cutting.

When the hay is cut, we will send out a courtesy email to everyone who has placed an order. That way you will know that in approximately 3 days the hay will be baled.

If someone decides not to purchase hay, the unpurchased hay will go to the next person in line that didn't have an order fulfilled.

Bales can be picked up as soon as they are stacked. If we meet you there, you can pay us with cash or check. If we don’t meet you there, you can mail a check. Make it out to AEDGE&TA and send it to Tim Brain, 12315 Desert Mirage Circle, El Mirage, AZ 85335 As a courtesy to Debbie, please send her an email that you mailed a check.

We will no longer be selling to the general public, and only to members. Any leftover bales will be sold wholesale or donated to the Equine Rescue Center.
