Dear Members,
This is a reminder of our upcoming Spring Business Meeting and Officer Elections, which will be held on Saturday, April 25th at Sahuaro Ranch Park, under the newly renovated Mechanics Shed.
Please RSVP so we have an accurate headcount for food!!!
Members are encouraged to arrive around 5:00 PM to socialize and dinner will start around 5:30pm. Dinner and beverages (water and soda) will be provided. If you are able to bring a dessert to share, it would be greatly appreciated. Following dinner, we will convene our annual Spring Business Meeting and board elections.
If you would like to be considered for a board position or have questions, please contact any of the current board members. We have three board positions that will be voted on at the meeting.
The agenda also includes several important items requiring membership input and approval.
We will also provide updates on club activities, show results, farm operations, and conduct board elections.
Over the past several board meetings, three key topics have been discussed extensively and now require membership voting to determine next steps:
1. Annual Dues Adjustment
The board recommends increasing annual dues from $25 to $35. Dues have remained unchanged for over 20 years, and rising costs—particularly insurance—necessitate this adjustment to sustain our activities and operations.
2. Case 95 Steam Engine Project
The board will present two options regarding the future of the Case 95 steam engine project and seeks membership direction on how to proceed.
3. Board Position Updates
The board proposes updates to board structure while maintaining the positions of President, Vice President, Treasurer, Secretary, and Communications. Recommended changes include merging the Tractor and Engine Chair roles into a single position and formally adding a Farmland Manager position to reflect the growing importance of our farming operations.
We look forward to your participation and input at this important meeting. An additional reminder will be sent closer to the event, along with a request for RSVPs to assist with dinner planning.
