Based on the pictures, it looks like it was almost "John Deere Day" today.  Thank goodness a Ford broke things up a little.

It is that time of year when everyone is giving their engines, tractors, and projects some extra attention in preparation for the shows.  Our website is also getting a little extra work.  This new template has a much higher contrast for easier reading and has better features for mobile phones and tablets.

    Fellow Club Members,

It has been a huge turn around to see so many of you getting involved and learning about the operations at the farm.  As this has become more of an open forum for club members, we have seen an influx of stored equipment at the farm.  To the point that it is becoming a hassle for those that are maintaining the farm and eye sore and safety concern for the neighbors.

Randy and I will be taking an inventory of what equipment is out there over the next 30 days and encourage anyone that is storing equipment out there come and tag it.  Anything that we may deem to be of no use and not operational may be discarded, unless we know who owns that particular piece of equipment, and you will have the opportunity to come collect it.  In addition any equipment that is out there that is not tagged will assumed to be the clubs and will be put into the club inventory.  In the future any club members equipment that needs to be stored at the farm a quick phone call or in person chat to let either myself or Randy know that its coming so that we can find the appropriate area for it and to make sure that we have room for it and any equipment that is left at the farm may be used for plow days and normal operations at the farm in addition it is the owners responsibility to maintain the area around their stored equipment.

Again as we grow the operation at the farm and more members get involved it is Randy’s and my intention to make it a fun and safe environment for the members that come out for events, the community that enjoy walking around the fields, and a place of pride for those that work hard to make it so.  I appreciate all of your help and understanding in this matter.   For any questions or concerns, please contact me directly.

Another fun event and a beautiful day for it.  Thanks to Todd Bakken for organizing and to everyone for their help in putting on a nice show.  A quick photo recap below.

The pulling crew hard at work...

    Many engines on display...

    Garden tractors getting it done...

This is when Todd realizes he left his racing helmet on the picnic table...

And Tim starts doubting those Minneapolis-Moline purchases...

In many parts of the country, the phrase "fall field work" would not mean that you were spending time working on a planter or a drill.  Not these guys - Tom, Randy, Paul, and Mark are already focused on the next crop at the Club farm ground.
