The Knox Family is losing the lease on our shop ground in SW Gilbert.  As such, we will be selling, giving away or trashing nearly 100 years of "great stuff" over the next couple of months.  I have listed several things in the For Sale forum already, but more will come.  Everything from "yard art" to tools will go.  We are keeping our JD A, JD BN, big gooseneck trailer, and JD 5205, but nearly everything else will be available.  I will post notices here when we will be having our "open house(s)", but notice may be short.  Please note: we have no restroom facilities at our shop, but there is a Circle K 1/2 mile from us.

Our shop is located at 7305 S. 156th St., Gilbert.  This is 1/2 mile E of Val Vista and S of Riggs.  If your nav tells you differently, it's wrong.

I can be reached at laknox88@gmail.com and Alex can be reached at baronknox@live.com.

In an effort to streamline the hay buying process,

    • We will do this on a first come, first served basis.
    • Anyone that wants to purchase alfalfa must send an email to haysales@aedgeta.org
    • Price is $13.50 per bale.
    • When we receive your email, we will reply back to you that we received your order.
    • All orders will be filled to the best of our ability. In the event that we have more orders than bales, we will start by limiting each person to 30 bales. Those orders that we were unable to fill will be placed first on the list for the next cutting.
    • When the hay is cut, we will send out a courtesy email to everyone who has placed an order. That way you will know that in approximately 3 days the hay will be baled.
    • If someone decides not to purchase hay, the unpurchased hay will go to the next person in line that didn't have an order fulfilled.
    • Bales can be picked up as soon as they are stacked. If we meet you there, you can pay us with cash or check. If we don’t meet you there, you can mail a check. Make it out to AEDGE&TA and send it to Tim Brain, 12315 Desert Mirage Circle, El Mirage, AZ 85335 As a courtesy to Debbie, please send her an email that you mailed a check.

We will no longer be selling to the general public, and only to members.  Any leftover bales will be sold wholesale or donated to the Equine Rescue Center.

March in the East Valley is going to be a busy time for AEDGE&TA!

Springtime in the East Valley is full of wildflowers, rodeos, country fairs and TRACTOR SHOWS!!   We are pleased to announce some of the fun, family oriented activities that are planned for the coming month.   30th Springtime in the East Valley is full of wildflowers, rodeos, country fairs and TRACTOR SHOWS!!   We are looking forward to the exciting, family oriented activities that are planned for the coming month.

Load up all your tractors and engines and haul them to the East Valley for the 30th Annual Apache Junction Antique Tractor and Engine Show at the Apache Junction Rodeo Grounds.   AJ is celebrating their 100th Anniversary (Centennial) this year, so we are expecting a great crowd!

Schnepf Farms is hosting their second annual Agritainment Park with over 40 different rides and attractions.  They are a great partner with our club and have given us a prime space right in the middle of the park.   Their static display of antique tractors and engines will run Thursday - Sunday, each week on March 10-13, March 17-20, March 24-27, and March 31-April 3.  For those who wish to leave their display in place during this month, there are always security guards on site.

Our newest partner is 'Roots N' Boots Queen Creek' who will host a static tractor & engine show Friday-Saturday, March 17 & 18.

PRCA cowboys and cowgirls promise to bring all the thrills and chills which you would expect during the timed pro rodeo events. Non-PRCA participants and little ones also get in on the act. The long lineup includes:
    • Bareback and saddle bronc riding
    • Barrel racing
    • Bull riding
    • Calf, tie-down and team roping
    • Steer wrestling
    • The calf scramble
    • Goat tying
    • Mutton Bustin
    • Pig chase

.Join in the fun and support our club and our "partners" in making this the BEST MARCH SHOW SEASON EVER!!

For more information, contact Phil Frandsen at 480-410-1914 or philfrandsen@gmail.com.ote:  The Schnepf Farms Agritainment Festival (a mini-Disneyland) begins on March 10th and runs through April 3rd.  Our tractors and engines will be on display there for thousands of people, and security guards are ever present.

    Hi to all,

Attached is a report on the Helza-Rockin Gem show that was held in Buckeye on Saturday the 9th of October, on the same day we had the Tractor Drive in the Desert Hills area of North Phoenix. It looks like we were represented well. It’s also proof that our club is large enough to participate in more than one event on the same day. If Tom Trainor gets any more show buttons, he’s going to have to get a larger hat.

Managing the weeds, turning the dirt in between the rows...and having fun while doing it.

Red Ronnebaum, Randy Waddle, and Chad Collier (photography) were out at the farm ground, testing out a restored Parlin and Orendorff Diamond sulky plow.  For those of you not familiar with this brand, this was similar to the story of John Deere.  Parlin was an apprentice blacksmith from New England, moved west, and started producing plows in the 1840's.  Eventually, the company was purchased by International Harvester in 1919.

Speaking of the club farm ground, there is a small section that any member can use for plowing at any time.  Reach out to Randy or Red for information.  In the meantime, here are some pictures of their project.

Head over to the Gallery section of the site (here) for some pictures of club members playing in the dirt on Sunday.  (We assume that Monday was tractor wash day.)
